Advent/Christmas Noon Organ Recitals

SJVAGO Members will grace the Chapel at St. Agnes Hospital with music of the season, playing their Rodgers electronic/pipe hybrid organ.  These recitals are free and open to the public.

Mountain Area Advent/Christmas Noon Organ Recitals

Fridays, November 30th, December 7th, 14th, 21st 2018 at 12pm | Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church, Oakhurst

These recitals will be a variety of musicians providing Advent and Christmas music in preparation for Christmas. Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church is located at 39696 CA-41, Oakhurst.

Organ Artist Series Concert I : Nathan Laube

January 6th, 2019 at 3pm | California State University, Fresno • Concert Hall

In addition to serving as Assistant Professor of Organ on the faculty of the Eastman School of Music, Nathan Laube has rapidly earned a place among the organ world’s elite performers receiving praise for his “impeccable technique, exceptional registrational creativity, and artistic skill beyond his years” (The American Organist).  Admission is $25 for General, $18 for Seniors, and can be purchased at the door, or by CLICKING HERE  This concerts is co-sponsored with the Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts.

Central California Baroque Festival, Featuring Kimberly Marshall, Organ

January 26th, 2019 at 1pm | University Presbyterian Church, Fresno

The SJVAGO is proud to partner with the Music Teachers’ Association of California for their annual Baroque Festival. This year will feature ASU Organ Professor Kimberly Marshall who is celebrated worldwide for her compelling concerts, master classes, and lectures. She is a creative advocate for the King of Instruments in many different contexts. Admission is free. University Presbyterian Church is located at 1776 E. Roberts Ave, Fresno.

Annual Sing-Along Hymn Festival

This annual hymn-sing features local organists, instrumentalists, and a festival choir led by Dr. Roy Klassen. A free-will offering will be taken. 1776 E. Roberts Ave, Fresno.

Organ Artist Series Concert II : Dr. Richard Elliott, Mormon Tabernacle Organist

May 5th, 2019 at 3pm | First Congregational Church, Fresno

Organist at the famed Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Richard Elliott will perform on the beautiful Casavant Pipe Organ at the Big Red Church. His showmanship and musicality are sure to “wow”. A free-will offering will be taken. First Congregational Church is located at 2131 N. Van Ness Blvd, Fresno.

Organist Hans Hielscher at University Presbyterian Church

World-renowned organist Hans Hielscher presents a recital on the Aeolian-Skinner Pipe Organ. Hans Hielscher has been organist at the Marktkirche in Wiesbaden, Germany since 1979. He has presented more than 3500 organ recitals around the globe, has recorded 22 CDs, is the author of three books and a published composer of some 50 works for organ. A free-will offering will be taken for the organ.
